Support the reconstruction efforts in the Philippines

On 8 November, Typhoon Haiyan, one of the most powerful storms on record, struck the Philippines. An estimated 11.8 million people have been affected, and 995,000 people are still displaced.

Help the millions of Filipinos who have lost jobs, homes and businesses to overcome this terrible crisis.

UNDP urgently needs US $20 million to continue funding debris-clearing jobs for 1 million people in provinces directly affected by Typhoon Haiyan.

Clearing debris is an important first step – it reduces life-threatening and unhealthy unsanitary environmental conditions. Clearance activities will also provide an income to over 200,000 people who have lost jobs or businesses due to the storm, helping keep them out of worse poverty.
